Our Story

Yazzbar founders Penny Carlisle and Harvey Walsh moved to Yass in 2010 and in 2014 proudly opened Yazzbar to share the Canberra Districts best wines, produce, and as a platform for talented local musicians. Matt and Mel Leahy took over in 2025 wanting to continue the tradition to celebrate and showcase the local wines, create a delicious menu and to provide a space for musicians and artists to showcase their work in a venue that is supported and enjoyed by local residents.
